The Breeders’ Cup has released the post times for all of the races set to be contested during its two-day World Championships — 14 Championship races and eight undercard races with total purses and awards of more than $31 million. The event will be held for the 40th time this year.
Returning to Santa Anita, the first race on Friday’s 10-race program – Future Stars Friday — will leave the gate at 11:30 a.m. Pacific Time with the first Breeders’ Cup Race set as race 5 with a 2:00 p.m. PT post time.
There will be 12 races on the Saturday program, featuring the nine Breeders’ Cup World Championships races. The first post is at 10:10 a.m. Pacific Time and the first Breeders’ Cup race will be the 4th race with a post time of 12:10 p.m. PT.
This year, the Breeder’s Cup Classic will not be the finale on Saturday. Two races – the Sprint and Turf Sprint – will take place after the Classic.
