Always Dreaming: 4/28 – The Grade 1 Florida Derby victor impressed onlookers with a five-furlong breeze over Churchill Downs’ fast main track in :59.47 with regular rider John Velazquez in the irons. 

Battle of Midway: 4/28 – The Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby runner-up completed his preparations for the May 6 Grade 1 Kentucky Derby by working six furlongs handily in 1:13.40 (5/13) on that fast surface. 

Fast and Accurate: 4/30 – Trainer Mike Marker’s charge, who will have to be supplemented to the Kentucky Derby for a $200,000 fee, breezed five furlongs in 1:01.20 (17/33) over Churchill Downs’ fast course. 

Girvin: 4/29 – The Grade 2 Louisiana Derby hero, whose preparations to run for the roses have been interrupted by a quarter crack in a front hoof, breezed five furlongs on Keeneland’s fast track in :59.60 (2/16). 

Irish War Cry: 4/30 – Isabelle de Tomaso’s New Jersey homebred breezed six furlongs in 1:13.20 (1/2) over fast dirt at Fair Hill. 

Sonneteer: 5/1 – Calumet Farm’s homebred, who will enter the Kentucky Derby as a graded stakes placed 10-race maiden, breezed four furlongs in :47.00 (1/22) on a fast Churchill Downs oval.
