2015 Belmont Stakes Odds

Belmont Stakes 2015

With 11 days until Victor Espinoza, American Pharoah and Bob Baffert try to make history in winning the Triple Crown, American Pharoah remains the favorite horse to win by a large measure.  And with War Story out of the race, the field of horses is now 11.

The Belmont Stakes is on Saturday, June 6th, 2015 and the world waits on edge to see whether American Pharoah will be the first horse since Affirmed to win one of sports most diabolically difficult feats, the Triple Crown.

Although American Pharoah is the favorite, it is important to note that all the horses who have been eligible to win the Triple Crown since Affirmed’s victory in 1978 have all been considered the favorites to win. . .  and as we sadly know, all have failed.

What will happen to American Pharoah?  Will a horse who skipped the Preakness Stakes be a spoiler?  Is there even such a thing as a spoiler in the Triple Crown?  If American Pharoah has what it takes, he will win.  And Victor Espinoza (on his third Triple Crown attempt), Bob Baffert (on his fourth Triple Crown attempt) and American Pharoah will lay claim to being the twelfth winner of racing and one of sports most celebrated accomplishments.
